Whitestein Technologies is a Swiss software company. For more than twenty-five years we've built mission-critical systems for European enterprises — across finance, logistics, and telecom. We pair a Swiss product-engineering tradition with a 50-engineer senior delivery centre in Bratislava.
Whitestein Technologies was founded in 1999 in Switzerland with a single conviction: that the financial institutions of Europe deserve software built around the way their business actually works — engineered for the long run, adaptive to change, transparent under audit.
Our first banking project shipped in 1997; our first insurance project in 2000. In the years since, we have built and modernised core platforms for Generali, Zurich, VIG, Axis Re, Swisscom, and several of Europe's largest banks — and stayed on as the engineering team behind those systems for ten, fifteen, twenty years and counting.
Today the company combines two strengths: a Swiss head office where strategy and contracting sit, and a 50-engineer delivery centre in central Bratislava where architects, engineers, business analysts, and QA specialists work alongside our clients in CET hours. Many of those relationships have run for 10–20 years, and many of the platforms we built are still in continuous production more than a decade after we first shipped them.
